An organic inspection (by BDOCA) of our lemongrass farmers was undertaken in April 2010. This is the first step towards securing an organic certificate for the recently established Zizamele Co-operative, which will enable us to negotiate better prices for our products. The organic inspector visited our lemongrass fields and project nursery on the 2nd and 3rd April, and interviewed farmers and project management. The feedback was extremely positive and we have just received our certificate from BDOCA.
